A Day with Thabo the Hippopotamus
Today was a/an/the fantastic/great/wonderful day hanging out with Thabo, the/a/my hippopotamus friend. We started/began/kicked off our day with a swim/splashing around/a dip in the cool/refreshing/clear water. Thabo is such/really/an incredibly strong swimmer and he loves/enjoys/adores to show off/play/glide through the water. After our morning/early afternoon/midday swim, we sunbathed/lounged/relaxed on the sunny/warm/dry bank. Thabo loves to roll around/stretch out/lay in the sun and soak up all the heat/sunshine/rays.
He/Thabo/The hippo even let me pet/scratch/rub his belly, which was soft/smooth/fuzzy. Thabo is such/a really/an awesome hippopotamus friend and I can't wait/am looking forward to/will be excited for our next day together.

Peter's Splashing Adventures
Thabo loved going to the beach every chance he got. He sometimes brought his brightest bathing suit and a giant pail for collecting rocks. At the beach/lake/pool, Thabo would jump around with his friends, building water slides and laughing in the sunlight. He rarely found beautiful things in the sand, like smooth pebbles or even a lost seashell. Thabo's swimming excursions were always filled with joy.
